Beautifully Morbid

"Never Leave a Job Half Done" by Pedro the Lion, a now defunct one-man band whose real name is David Bazan, is beautifully morbid. It opens with ear guitar which drives the song- about staying the course and doing a clean job when murdering someone -from the get-go. The vocals are done beautifully- with the bass and guitar almost drowning them out, but having Pedro's calm singing come through them.

Pedro the Lion is one of the artists I found on the Audio Galaxy Satellite years back, before it was shut down. It was the way to get free music before Napster, and while somewhat slow, had an amazing selection. I've loved his music ever since. As for the work of David Bazan...well...I've got about 1,000 songs to sift through folks. That's not counting entire albums sitting in other folders- so it'll be a while. Doesn't help when I take three month long breaks, either.
